Father of two lovely girls and one dashing boy, husband to a beautiful wife, I enjoy teaching history during the week and escaping to the outdoors whenever possible. A 1997 graduate of the University of Michigan (History major, English minor), I also earned a second major (social studies) from Eastern Michigan University. A Master's in the Art of Teaching (MAT) was completed at Saginaw Valley State University in 2008. Whitetail deer and pheasants are common targets, but I really enjoy chasing rabbits behind my beagles. My greatest outdoor passion is canoe tripping in Algonquin Park whenever possible.
